EXPERIMENTAL MOTION: KINECT POINT CLOUD R&D
This R&D Lab Project explores an unconventional workflow for character creation and animation, aimed at a future short film. The primary technical goal was to integrate raw motion data from an Xbox Kinect v2 sensor (Point Cloud Data) into Cinema 4D, convert it into controllable geometry via the MASH system, and utilize deformers to generate unique, abstract characters and motion. Additionally, the project incorporated environmental modeling using Photogrammetry techniques for realistic backgrounds, demonstrating a mastery of cutting-edge data capture and generative design.
